From Comics Should Be Good Jim Steranko was the inspiration for Mr. Miracle and the Kavalier & Clay escapist character. I had read that Steranko was an escape artist back in the day but I didn't know he was the inspiration for Scott Free

I met Steranko at Wizard World Philly this year and he is every bit a character as those based off of him. He was great to listen to, had some funny stories and was just a great showman. I'd love to read a biography or autobiography someday.
